Possession With Intent To Distribute A Schedule I CDS. - Probation
July 2022
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver, referred to as Mr. MC, presented a suspended license and consented to a search of his vehicle. The other two passengers in the vehicle exited. As officers began to search the vehicle, Mr. MC stated that he no longer consented to a search. A supporting officer deployed his K9, who alerted him to narcotics in the vehicle. Mr. MC again stated that there was nothing in the vehicle and that it wasn't his. Officers recovered marijuana, a handgun, and cash from the vehicle. Mr. MC and his two passengers were taken to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
After one of the passengers claimed responsibility for the firearm all charges involving the carrying of weapons was dropped and MC pled to Possession of a CDS for probation.
